Simultaneous Interpretation
In this modality, the oral translation is delivered at the same time as the source speech. It can be done live or virtually. In live events, it requires equipment, that is, a booth or mobile transmitter for the interpreters and receptors with headsets for the participants.
Consecutive Interpretation
In this case, the speaker presents in slots of 1-3 minutes and, when they pause, the interpreter delivers the translated speech. This technique is used when the setting of the event doesn't allow for the use of the equipment, but one must consider that consecutive interpretation doubles the duration of a talk.
